Standing Firm

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20 "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when i am weak then I AM STRONG. 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 We approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers, of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your gro...

Bon Appetit!

Image
Oh, does this boy LOVE to eat! He can't hardly wait for you to scoop another bite out. He opens his mouth and reaches like a little bird. Oh so cute! News Update** My little man is ooohhhh so cranky! He has finally cut his 2 bottom teeth. They are just barely poking through. He has an awful runny stopped up nose and has slept about 1 hour today. Needless to say, I AM EXHAUSTED! Hoping this means he will sleep ALL NIGHT! Yea right!

Meet the Benny Pig!

Image
We set on an adventure for a new pet. We tried a dog and quickly realized we are NOT dog people. We love our cat but he is getting old and not a lot of fun. So, we decided to get a TURTLE... that is until we realized it was a little more complicated than just putting a turtle in a cage. So, we researched guinea pigs- fun, loving, cuddly, rare to bite or scratch... sounded like a perfect match (except that it is a rodent!). Off to the pet store we went. We had 3 to choose from and this little rodent was calling our name:) We scooped him up before anyone else got him (yes we were not the only ones looking to purchase a rodent!). Colin was so excited to hold his benny pig and so then his name was born- Benny Pig. Colin thinks it is so funny to have a benny pig named Benny Pig:) As we approach our one week anniversary with BP , I must say, he has been a pretty well behaved pet. The kids play with him everyday and clean his cage and when I say kids I mean Bethany (my sweet, responsible on...

UpWards Basketball 2010

Image
So proud of my little man! This is his first year playing and he has been SO nervous about it! He couldn't even dribble a ball to start but he has made lots of progress and had fun doing it. We got off to a late start and missed half the games but better late then never...right?!?!?! He has one more game to go and that will be next Saturday @ 10am First Baptist Church. Chad was FINALLY able to get off work so he will get to see his last game:) Go Bobcats!!!

Blog MakeOver Anyone?!?!

I want a blog makeover... however, I am clueless!!!! I tried... I have really tried but I just don't get it, can't get it, and oh so need some help! The last attempt at a blog make over ended with a huge virus on my computer when I downloaded some "helpful" adivce off of a blog makeover website:( So, here is my idea... I would love to PAY someone to give me a blog makeover... preferably someone that is in need of raising money for their adoption. I would like a really cute banner at the top with my children's pictures. I would like tabs at the top. Example: our story, photos, email me, give aways... I would like a different kind of font than what we have. I would like a signature at the end of each post. But MOST IMPORTANTLY I really want it to be cute:) SO, if you know anyone talented that would be interested in earning some money for their adoption please have them leave a comment on my blog and an email to reach them. I will not post their information on my co...

Dylan 5 Months

Image
Dylan Thomas Gray is now 5 months old! (Ok, so it was 3 days ago but who is counting!!) My little baby isn't so little anymore! He loves to eat! ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! (I have some baby food pics I will post later!) He can sit up all by his self:) The little booger will not sleep in his baby bed. Like all the others he has to sleep with mom and dad. What can I say... they are only little once! *** breaking news*** I laid Dylan in his bed to fuss a little and something magical happened:) He fell asleep!!! This is a first and it happened just minutes ago! I am sure it will never happen again. Too easy... my life is never too easy! Night! Night!

Blog of the Day:)

HOW NOT TO MAKE YOUR KIDS HAPPY!! http://itsalmostnaptime.blogspot.com/

Let it SNOW!

Image
I am sure these "snow" pictures may seem quiet humorous to many considering we got maybe an inch and some of you have feet:) However, here in the south, snow is rarely seen so this was a huge treat! It took all the snow in our front yard to build her snowman but this talented little girl did it! This snowman was built by Daddy, Bethany, and Colin.

Mary Katherine... THIS IS FOR YOU!!!

Image
This is a picture of me with my Aunt Louise. This was the first time I had seen her in 15 years! Kailey and Bethany at my grandfather's funeral. Colin and Dylan Dylan getting ready for breakfast. Mary Katherine, I so enjoyed talking to you on the phone tonight. I am so happy that you are doing so good. I am so proud of your progress in school. I think it is wonderful that you can write now and even TEXT!! You have grown so much!! We are all so happy for you. Can't wait to see you this summer. You are a sweet girl! Keep living for Jesus and be a good example for all around you! Be a good helper to your mom and dad! Help out with all your brother and sisters... no fighting:) We love you! Chad, Kristy, Bethany, Colin, and Dylan

I'm Back!!!

After my much needed break from electronic gadgets (computers, tvs, PSP, DS) my family is feeling so refreshed. I thought my kids would kill me for taking it all away but you will never believe it!!!!!! Bethany actually enjoyed it.... and Colin... he discovered he has toys in his room!!!! Amazing! I highly recommend this to you all. After my break I decided to give my blog a fresh new look. I wanted to create a cool banner with my family pictures on it, change the font, and you know just spice it up. Well, I don't know if this is a sign that I should of just left electronics out of my life forever... but my computer caught a very bad virus and I lost EVERYTHING!!!! All my pictures from the past 2 years, all my school work, all my home school records, and who knows what else. I managed to upload pictures of Anna Li's adoption and Dylan's birth to a photo website so those are safe but my trip to Disney, Sea World, Colin's first fishing trip, and so many more memories GONE...

Taking a Break

Taking a break from TV, facebook, blogging, emails, and the Internet (except for school work) for 1 week. Sometimes we just need to get rid of the distractions and focus on what is important in life. Be back in a week!

Back to School

It's that time again! I am back to school and hoping to finish someday before I die!! I am still majoring in Collaberative Education (once called Special Education). It has been a little bit of a struggle considering how our school system let us down but that is all the more reason to keep on keeping on. I can and will make a difference in the lives of these children... may not be in this school system but somewhere... I will. I am taking 2 classes at Athens 1. Teaching Language Arts 2. Intro to Learing and Emotional Disabilities. I am also taking 1 credit hour class (A&P lab) at Wallace. Not too happy about this one but so thankful that Dr. H was so willing to work diligently to create a class just for me to get this one credit I needed. Once upon a time, I took A&P 1 class. After the class was taken the system changed from quarters to semesters. Sooooo, when my classes got transfered I somehow lost a credit due to the conversion!! So now, I am stuck taking a 1 credit hour...

To My Dear Followers:)

I failed to make any new years resolutions this year... probably a good thing because I always break them. However, I am always trying to make an effort to be more thoughtful. I pledge every year to send out birthday, thinking of you, and get well cards. Yet, every year life gets crazy busy and I start to slack off by February. I know, It is sad! But my nephew always lucks up because his birthday is in January. So, new year, new beginings.. I want to let ALL 8 of you know I appreciate you AND In honor of YOU I am making a donation to: THE MORNING STAR PROJECT I learned of this organization through my blogger buddy Lori and I know how dear it is to many of your hearts. Thanks for being my blogger friends:) I wish you all a wonderful new year! To learn more about The Morning Star Project click on the link below: http://www.morningstarproject.blogspot.com/

Dylan @ 3.5 Months

Image
After failing 3 hearing test the ENT doctor informed us that Dylan needs tubes in his ears:( We are going to get a second opinion and looking into some other options in hopes of avoiding surgery. I know tubes is a simple one day surgery but any time you have to put a baby to sleep is scary to me! Besides failing hearing test Dylan is doing wonderful:) He is a good and happy baby as you can see from his smile! Teething is right around the corner... he can't keep those fist out of his mouth! Some of Dylan's favorite things are laughing at his brother doing jumping jacks, squealing, and gooing:)

Our Adoption Story

Our adoption story... To read about our adoption of Anna Li click here . Adopting Anna Li was one of the greatest moments of my life. There are no words to describe the love I have for this child. I will be forever thankful to God for allowing me to be her mother for 16 precious months. Some may look at our story and think what a tragedy but I am here to say you couldn't be more wrong. Sometimes God calls us to do things and they don't always have the ending you would expect. As humans we want to think where did I go wrong because it didn't turn out as we planned. As Christians, we must realize God's plan is not always our plan, God's plan is not always easy, but God's plan is always perfect. God is doing amazing things in my life as well as Anna Li's. It brings me great joy to see her heart shine so bright for Jesus. She is never ashamed to share Him with others. She plants the seed and has faith that someone else will come along and water it. Christ'...
