The God We Praise and a little Duct Tape FUN!

 We had so much fun last night as our church family kicked off
their new CD The God We Praise!
Much thanks to my boss  and coworkers for letting me leave work a little early:)
Chad, Bethany, and I met up with the wonderful ladies
from our small group at Dairy Queen for a little din din
THEN
we headed to the sanctuary for
SUCH A NIGHT OF FUN!!
 There is nothing like starting the service off with a little cell phone challenge and duct tape:)
The elders were given a cell phone number and they had to call it and try to locate who's phone was ringing in the worship center...FUNNY! Some didn't even know how a cell phone worked!

Then we moved on to the Duck Tape challenge!
(Chad was chosen to participate in this challenge)
The teams had a set amount of time to duct tape their elder to the columns in the church.
Then....
We Waited....
to see who's elder fell first:)
Sad to report Chad's team didn't win:(
Is that fear on his face?!?!
Great night full of friendship, fun, laughs, cries, praise, prayers, and worship!
God is good! He answers prayers:)

Ella Ruth Gray February 2, 2011 5:37 am On February 2nd, 2011 I went for my 4 month prenatal check-up.  I was looking forward to hearing my child's heartbeat. I was out of the 1st trimester and felt like  I was out of the danger zone... There was no heartbeat.. the sonogram confirmed it.. We had lost our baby a few days shy of 16 weeks. I was admitted to the hospital, labor was induced and I gave birth to my little girl at 5:37am.  She was tiny... only 2 oz and 6 inches long.   Tiny little feet... Tiny little hands... A Season of Change

So today is the day that I share with the rest of the world the changes going on in our family. I know it may be hard for some to understand and not all will agree, but I know in my heart that we are doing what is right no matter how difficult it may be. Anna Li will be leaving our home and joining her new family very soon. It was a very difficult and agonizing decision for us but it was a decision made with Anna Li and not for Anna Li. We love Anna Li with all of our being, and she loves us as well. We have made lots of progress over the past year. It seems as each day goes by we get closer and closer to each other. With that said, there is still a huge emptiness in Anna Li's heart. She misses her country, her culture, the food, and the people. Living in small town America limits the opportunities we can give to Anna Li. Disruption.. never an easy choice

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_russia_adopted_boy Heartbreaking!! Just heartbreaking! As a mother who has disrupted her adoption I feel that I need to speak out. First and foremost, I 100% disagree with what this woman has done. Unfortunately, disruption happens... more than most realize. It is one of the most painful agonizing decisions that any parent could ever have to make. It is not something you go into lightly, but when you enter into that decision, there is a legal way to go about it. Shipping a child back to their country ALONE with a note is cold-hearted and completely unacceptable. I can see where the outrage is coming from! However, I feel that when a person's emotions are high she may tend to say things without completely thinking them through.
